Coking wastewater is a typical toxic and refractory organic wastewater.

Cationic polyacrylamide is commonly used in the treatment of coking wastewater. Cationic polyacrylamide is a linear polymer compound that flocculates negatively charged colloids and has good water solubility. In coking wastewater, its flocculation and precipitation performance are used, it has incomparable effects of any other product in removing suspended solids, COD (≥79%), BOD, fluoride F- and polycyclic organics in wastewater. After treatment, the water can meet the standard requirements for discharge.

Zikun tells you the matters needing attention when using polyacrylamide for coking wastewater treatment:

1. Determine the best model and dosage through lab test;

2. The product is prepared into an aqueous solution with a concentration of 0.1-0.3% (referring to solid content), preferably neutral water without salt;

3. When dissolving in water, please sprinkle this product evenly into the stirred water, and appropriate heating (<60℃) can accelerate the dissolving (the stirring time is preferably about 40 minutes);

4. When dissolving, pay attention to adding the product uniformly and slowly into the dissolver with stirring and heating measures, avoid solidification, prepare the solution at a suitable temperature, and avoid prolonged mechanical shearing. It is recommended that the agitator is set at 60-200 rpm, otherwise the polymer will be degraded and the use effect will be affected;

5. The PAM aqueous solution should be prepared immediately before use. When the solution is placed for a long time, its performance will gradually decrease depending on the water quality;

6. Avoid spilling this series of products on the ground. In case of spilling, it should be removed in time to prevent slipping and injury.
